There is a campground located on the island. We would have to book in advance.
Fee is $25 plus a park entrance fee of $15. Non electric. Dump station available.
Check in time 12:00 check out 11:00. Paved, pull through, site specific reservation.
All but one ocean side are taken, only 15 sites are still available out of 44.
There is a Capitol Hill ward located in Washington DC. Meeting time is 12:30. Driving time from Asateague to DC is 2 hours 40 minutes.
I bet there are more wards in DC, so if that meeting is inconvenient, check out if there are others. From your map I see that I was near assssss.. island myself, once. Once, returning from visiting Richie in DC (he lived there twice), instead of the usual route home (NJ Turnpike), we crossed over to that ferry that gets you to NJ's little appendix into the bay, there. It was a wonderful trip! We had the car on the ferry. T'was nice!
