The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in New York City,
is the largest art museum in the United States, and one of the ten
largest in the world, with the most significant art collections.[6] Its permanent collection contains more than two million works, divided among seventeen curatorial departments.[7]
The main building, located on the eastern edge of Central Park along Manhattan's Museum Mile, is by area one of the world's largest art galleries. There is also a much smaller second location at "The Cloisters" in Upper Manhattan that features medieval art.[8]
Represented in the permanent collection are works of art from classical antiquity and Ancient Egypt, paintings and sculptures from nearly all the European masters, and an extensive collection of American and modern art. The Met also maintains extensive holdings of African, Asian, Oceanic, Byzantine, and Islamic art.[9] The museum is also home to encyclopedic collections of musical instruments, costumes and accessories, and antique weapons and armor from around the world.[10]
Several notable interiors, ranging from 1st-century Rome through modern
American design, are permanently installed in the Met's galleries.[11]
The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870 by a group of
American citizens. The founders included businessmen and financiers, as
well as leading artists and thinkers of the day, who wanted to open a
museum to bring art and art education to the American people.[2] It opened on February 20, 1872, and was originally located at 681 Fifth Avenue.[12]
As of 2012, the Met occupies about 2,000,000 square feet (190,000 m2).[13] Admission is pay what you wish with a recommendation of $25.[14]

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, often referred to as The Guggenheim, is a well-known art museum located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. It is the permanent home of a renowned and continuously expanding collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern and contemporary art and also features special exhibitions throughout the year.
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the cylindrical museum building, wider at the top than the bottom, was conceived as a "temple of the spirit" and is one of the 20th century's most important architectural landmarks. The building opened on October 21, 1959, replacing rented spaces used by the museum since its founding. Its unique ramp gallery extends from just under the skylight in the ceiling in a long, continuous spiral along the outer edges of the building until it reaches the ground level.

South of Midtown and North of the Financial District is Washington Square Park.
A marsh. A cemetery. A parade ground. A gathering spot for avant-garde artists. A battleground for chess enthusiasts. A playground for canines and children. Washington Square Park has served various roles for its community throughout the years, adapting to meet its needs. Well-known for its arch, honoring George Washington, the man for whom the park is named, and its fountain, the arch's elder by 43 years and a popular meeting spot, Washington Square Park also houses several other monuments and facilities.

Trinity Church
Trinity Church, at 79 Broadway in lower Manhattan, is a historic, active, well-endowed[3] parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Trinity Church is near the intersection of Wall Street and Broadway, in New York City, New York.
The first Trinity Church building, a modest rectangular structure with a gambrel roof and small porch, was constructed in 1698.
The third and current Trinity Church was finished in 1846 and at the time of its completion its 281-foot (86 m) spire and cross was the highest point in New York until being surpassed in 1890 by the New York World Building.
What We Believe
Trinity Wall Street is a parish within the Episcopal Diocese of New York. This means that Trinity is part of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion, whose members trace their spiritual lineage to the Church of England.
Anglicans, as members of the Communion are generally called, typically pursue God’s love and truth through Scripture, tradition, and reason. The Anglican ethos values patience and tolerance, and generous participation in the cultural life of the world.
We profess two creeds in the Episcopal Church: the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed. The Apostles Creed is the ancient creed of Baptism. The Nicene Creed summarizes the beliefs of Christians.
How are you different from a Roman Catholic Church?
The Pope is not the head of the Episcopal Church, although we recognize him as the head bishop of another branch of the Christian Church. In the Episcopal Church, women, as well as men, can be priests and bishops, and priests can also be married. Also, all Christians are welcome to take communion in Episcopal churches, not just Episcopalians.
Are you the church featured in the movie National Treasure?
Yes.
